2012 Strategic National Conference on Mass Incarceration

The Center for Church and Prison is hosting the Strategic National Conference on Mass Incarceration and Reentry from October 18 to October 20 at Boston University Law School Auditorium. This year’s theme is “Community Vitalization through Prison Reform.” Thursday evening’s keynote speaker is Dr. Michelle Alexander, author of The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness. The conference also features panels and workshops with a number of area practitioners in the field of prison reentry and academics from across the country, including Harvard’s Dr. Bruce Western, author of Punishment and Inequality in America.
