Program Description:Barton Community College has been serving Ellsworth Correctional Facility (ECF) and Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility (LCMHF) for the past 15 years with educational programming.BASICS has transitioned into a one of the most successful correctional education programs in the nation.We are currently offering 8 career technical certificates, traditional post-secondary coursework, adult basic education, and advisement services for over 200 students a year.

Programs Offered:We also offer numerous certificate programs; Adult Education, Carpentry, Welding, Plumbing, Manufacturing Skills, Microsoft Office Specialist, IC3 Certification, NCCER Core Certificate, and numerous post-secondary courses offered via ITV to the facilities.
Unique Features: Technology has been a large part of our growth. Barton is currently providing connected tablets for use in our adult education program, and we are providing online resources for our incarcerated students via our classroom computers.
