Program Description: Our mission is to provide a rigorous college program to incarcerated women in Washington and create pathways to higher education after women are released from prison.

Degrees/Programs Offered: Associate of Arts Degree

Unique Features: Last year we had our first ever graduation

Headquarters: Seattle, Tacoma and Gig Harbor, Washington

Correctional Facility Served: Washington Correctional Center for Women

College/University Affiliation: Tacoma Community College

Population Served: Women of all security levels, community members in several counties, students and faculty at University of Washington, University of Puget Sound, Seattle Central Community College, and many other local colleges and universities.

Number of Students: around 100

Graduates to Date: 23

Founders: Tanya Erzen, Gilda Sheppard, Mary DeWine, Robin Jacobson and Stuart Smithers.

Funding: We are primarily grant funded and currently building an individual giving program. We have one hundred percent board and staff giving.

Program Evaluation: Annual student survey, class evaluations, and continued work with outside faculty on overall program evaluation.
