Program Description:Rio Salado College’s Incarcerated Re-entry (IRE) program offers distance learning classes that lead to certificate (electives that apply towards an associate degree) and associate degree for incarcerated students. Classes are offered in print based correspondence formats. Rio Salado College is an accredited college, courses leading to certificate or degree are transferable to a university.

Unique Features: Rio Salado College is committed to addressing the specific needs of incarcerated students. IRE staff coordinate the enrollment process including registration, academic advising, transcript evaluation and diploma requests and other student concerns. The purpose of the Distance Learning program is to help students earn a certificate or degree prior to release.
